FAQs/What to Expect
If you’re new to St. George’s-by-the-River, you may have questions about what to expect from our communities and our worship. Find answers here, and if you still have questions, send us a message!
What is there for adults at St. George’s?
We have various opportunities for adults to grow in faith through Bible study, our morning prayer group (view weekly on our calendar), and hands-on ministry.
Which service should I attend?
We offer three services most weekends. Our Saturday evening service at 5 p.m. is casual, contemporary, and brief. On the second Saturday of each month, we invite folks to bring their pets along for Pet-Friendly Worship at 5 p.m. which includes a special blessing for their pets.
The early Sunday morning service at 8 a.m. is a spoken service (no music) in traditional language. The second Sunday morning service at 10 a.m. includes music, as well as church school and acolytes during the school year. At all of our services, we celebrate Holy Communion, of which all baptized Christians of any denomination or of no denomination are welcome to take.
